    Babies!!!

As some of you may have read, I have a QT that is more like an offline refugium. It runs all the time and has all the trappings of a ghetto nano tank, but with tons of pods and bristle worms and rarely any fish.

Well, I just took a good look in the tank (sometimes I go a week or so without glancing in), and I now see at least 30-40 baby snails... Not sure what kind, I just added some Astraea snails and I have had some dwarf ceriths and periwinkles from John Maloney. When I bring in my Macro, I'll post a better shot. For now, here is an iPhone picture with two of the babies in the center:

There is no elevator to success in marine tanks. You have to take the stairs.

That's pretty good! Once they get some size to them, you can transfer them to your DT. I wouldn't be surprised if you found pods in there too since no fish have been it the QT for a while.

They look like they could be baby collonista snails. There is some info about them in this article. The Grazing Snails, Part I - Turbo, Trochus, Astraea, and Kin by Ronald L. Shimek, Ph.D. - Reefkeeping.com
