thank you, wish i had a better camera.

One of them is is "bossing" the others a bit sometimes, guess she is the leder of the clan. I think the surgeons keep them quiet if they get too much of a pain in the butt.
Then again they are only about a year old, guess there will be more of that in the future. If it comes to that i will have to sell two of them or upgrade my tank to a larger (look wifey, the clowns are fighting...I need a bigger tank ).

I had 4 clowns until a few days ago, when I got rid of the most aggressive one (a tomato clown), but mine were all different species. That's why I was wondering if yours fought too, being the same.

I have 3 left, and one of them is still picked on a lot, so I'm hoping it gets better w/ a larger tank, too.

    Thanks!

    Thx.

Yes, fungia sp. it is, a rare one (atleast over here).
This one has blueish stripes on the disc and tips under the actinics. I have never seen one like this before.

A shot of it with actinic only. It's easy to see why it ended up in my tank instead of leaving it at the LFS.

Funny, I just saw a orange Fungia for sale last week at Zoanuts under their exotic section. Never have seen one before that either... Seeing yours makes me regret not buying it!

Just posting a couple of fullview shots. Still can't get the colours right with my cam, seems my camera captures the color on the zooxathellea in the corals, and not the actual colour.

Mixing new water to change here, please don't look at the towels and stuff. Yes iknow, haven't finished the lighting setup yet, but i will in a few weeks...or months.

And a shot with only actinics. With fragbasket and everyrhing.

lookin' great Marko! Wow...you have a lot of zoos there! Was it hard to get them to cover the back wall like that? Did you glue the first ones on??

    Thanx.

Those on the back are not glued on just placed a stone with some zoas against the glass and a couple of weeks later they attached, same with the xenia.
I also have some on the box in the right hand corner, i used superglue (cyanoacrylate) to those.

Marko, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. What a wonderful tribute to name your little girl after your grandmother.

    Hi everyone.

Finally got some time for an update.
A while back i noticed something bad was going on in the tank, some corals started to turn white. All tests were better than ever, so i didn't pay much attention to it. A couple of weeks went by and still not better. 3 major wterchanges were done and still not better. The last thing to do was to reclibrate the refractometer, and wow the sg was waaaay over normal, about 1.029.
Now everything is looking better again. Some of the corals did not make it, including a couple or rare ones.

    Made a crappy clip.

Sorry to hear that you lost some corals but I'm glad to hear that the others are recovering.

    Thank you all.

The colour on the blue tang is amazing, and evry other fish i got. I believe the key to healthy and bright colors is varied food.
Every day I feed my fish with ON formula One and Two dried or frozen, Spirulinaflakes, CyclopEeze, FM UltraHealth.
Every two-three days or so they have some noori algae, some fresh spnach, or some broccoli.
A couple of times in a week i feed with a mix of frozen cyclops, grown brineshrimp, mysis, spiced with some garlic.
Every now and then i hatch some brineshrimp, it's really popular, everyone goes crazy.
I rarely turn off the pumps when feedig i feel it's better for the fish to chase the food a bit.

I know Tangs and other plant eating fish will eat spinach and broccoli but the fish get nothing out of that food. The nori is great and a perfect choice but I would stop feeding terrestrial veggies to aquatic animals

    Looooong time no see.

There has been some changes the past year to the tank.
Some stuff has been sold, like the blue tang got too big for my tank.
The lighting setup is done, so now i got 6x54w T5.
The tube setup is 2 actinics, 3 KorallenZucht New Generarion and 1 KorallenZucht Fiji Purple.
The coral growth and colors is amazing. Especially the Montipora confusa is growing close to an inch a month.

A while ago i got an issue with cyano bacteria, struggled moths with it and just coundn't find the cause to it. Then suddenly it hit me, some people have had some cyano when using the ZEOvit method, as i did... yes did...
Figured what the heck, i got to try, and to my surprise all cyano dissapeared (like a paychek in my wifes pocket) in a week. And that was the end ot the ZEOvit era for my tank.

I have a buch of some kind of hydra i think it is.
Been thinking about getting a Centropyge loriculus, apparently they are known to eat this stuff. I know it might nip on some corals too, but that is a risk I'm willing to take, the brown stuff it startig to take over too much.
Also that is great reason to buy a very nice looking fish, you know wife issues.

A couple of weeks ago i got myself a new skimmer a BubbleMagus NAC7. So far it is doing great, time will tell.

I don't have any new photos of the tank, here comes a couple of shots from december.
I will try to get some new shots this weekend.

    Hey Marko Welcome back.

Your tank is looking good. I'm glad you found the source to what makes the cyno grow and got rid of it.

It's good to see you back. :-) Thanks for the eye candy. Looks like you have lot's of new growth and I love the mix of coral and the colors compliment each other. The brown stuff does look like a hydra. I had some in my tank also and I thought it was pretty, which it is actually, but then it decided that it did not want to stay on the coral skeleton that it appeared on and wanted to spread. I was lucky and just pulled that piece out. I hope your natural solution works for you. I like the combo color coralline you have. Very attractive.
