yes, attache them to a rock, they will encrust alot and they grow up and get top heavy, so mane sure its a stable large rock (not huge, but dont use ruble)
and when you mount it, glue its back to the rock, like lay it down flat, it will grow better that way

Just a thought. Keep your eyes open for the dreaded monti eating nudi's I recently got some from a swap. Luckily caught it in QT. Monti's are one of my favorites.

will crazy glue work or should i use a 2 part epoxy, rob what other kind of sps are hardy and grow fast
A great trick to get the coral to scroll is to glue a piece on to a rock and then place a second smaller piece in the center of the frag. The bottom will grow out, while the top tier will also follow suit. Montipora are extemely fast growers and can thrive under a variety of lighting conditions. Good luck
super glue gel is the best to use.
plain super (crazy) glue is too thin and does work very well.
Sorry Rob got to correct your error here. I know most of us know you simply type too fast and don't edit your work before you post but, BIRDMANINC might misinterpret and use crazy glue.
He meant to say, crazy glue is too thin and does not work very well.
