It looks like a gorgonian sea fan. I'm new so my ID skills aren't so
hot . However, if I am right, its going to require spot feeding of rotifers, brine shrimp, etc. and such in order for it to thrive and become bushy like the one in the pic. One thing to consider on these is their large surface area. It causes them to pick up a lot of waste that can and will grown algae and
cyano . TO prevent this, make sure that your
frag has good water flow to keep junk from settling on it.

thanks eddy....that s it:-)
i had already moved it to a higher flow area, cause of the algae issue & i can spot feed, when i feed the rest of the corals...thank you much!

best to let i grow branches first, and then take a branch. a single stem is too risky for bacterial infection......although it can be done.

i tried glueing gorgonians, didnt work for me, so i just left it pressed against a rock for a while and it eventually grew on the rock.

yeah, gluing don't work well. i found the best method to build a base around the base with epoxy putty and then you can wedge it or glue it onto a rock.

wait until it is all bushy and feeding well. that way it will have stronger polyps and tissue for the stress of fragging, mounting, and relocation.
