nope, they will get what they need from the lights. they would benefit very little from feeding, unless you want to add something like cyclopeeze to the food. if you do ... be careful how much you feed ... it can EASILY be overfed.

Most softies will get all the energy that they need from your lighting. Being photosynthetic, corals do not NEED to be fed anything other than light.

My rics and fuzzy mushroom capture bits of food and then turn their edges up and in to create a little purse around the food.

suep is an unknown quantity at this point
I've seen my blue mushroom do that too. Very rarely, but I've seen it three or 4 times in the 6 or 7 months I've had him.

I don't intentionally feed the mushrooms, or anything besides the brain, but a lot of things pop out their feeding polyps if I dump some baby brine in the tank. But I've never seen the mushrooms react to the bb, so who knows...?

What should the bottom of a ric look/feel like? I got my first one about a month ago, the bottom feels hard in the middle, almost as if it had been glued to something and pulled off. It has also had a very hard time ataching. It is now, but only on an edge, it also appears that it is trying to split, it is raising along the middle. Will it be able to if there is "stuff" glued to his underside?

i have never "felt" a ric up, but i believe that it is suppose to be a little harder than the rest. i think it is where all of its organs are located. it should split fine.
