Hello, I have never Fraged something. My Frog Spawn is getting to big and I want to frag to put some in my Nano tank.. How do I do this?
As I been reading I have a sorta idea... Use a razor and cut down at the stalk.. and put it on a rock with a needle in it.. But my question is Where do i cut it? I have one that has 2 heads like a V Do i cut it were the V comes to the other one?

Arcar- what's happening man??? It's like I know you after that BIG WELCOME from the other day
Not really sure the answer since I've never had frogspawn, but I think it's similar to hammer coral. Sounds like you have 2 branching polyps and you can break them apart. I don't recommend cutting polyps in half, but if you have seperate polyps, then you should be able to split them apart maybe with your hands. I can snap my hammer coral apart in my hands.
I'm sure someone else will tell ya exactly how to do it. Just wanted to say HI!!

I don't think you should cut through the fleshy part of the Euphyllia, Arcar. If the frogspawn has grown big enough to have several heads, then you can just break the head off at the base, where the coral skeleton is. But, I don't think that the frogspawn will have a great chance of survival if you cut right through the middle of it. In order to cut throught the coral skeleton, you might need to use a dremel though! :-)
Hmmm...do you think you could post a picture so that we can make sure we're talking about the same thing? You should see a coral skeleton at the base like this.
Much better pic Christi- I wasn't able to find one like that to show the branches. But just like Christi said- don't cut through the polyp, but you can break a branch off in you have 2 or more.
Yes, the second picture is quick typical of frogspawn...
In terms of your fragging, why not just divide right now between the two sets of heads, so that you end up with two pieces with two heads each? In time, when those grow more, there will be more of a defined skeleton that you can break apart again. My Euphyllia has 7 heads now and once it started splitting up, the individual heads were much easier to separate. I guess I should think about fragging it now! :-)
Okay....let's give your picture better names so we can understand what we're talking about. In your photo....you have the left side with flesh/1/2 and the right side with flesh/1/2. Let's rename them to A1/A2/Aflesh and B1/B2/Bflesh. From your picture it's difficult to see, but I would assume that between A and B there is a bony skeleton where there is NO flesh, such as in the pictures that Gwen and I both posted.
IF this is the case, then this is the spot that I am talking about breaking it apart. I would certainly leave A1/A2/Aflesh together and not cut through this. Same thing for the B side.
