Ricordia Identification
Can anyone tell what type of ricordia this is and what is difference between Florida and Yuma Ricordia?
Also, is the one on the left splitting?
Thanks

General rule of thumb. Yumas look flatter and porportionally smaller and more numerous knobs per polyp. Yumas tend to be larger. Yumas are from Indo-Pacific and Floridas are as the name implies from the Carribean.

Also, Florida's have a clean mouth, whereas Yumas have bumps all the way up to and on the mouth. Those are definitely Floridas.

Thanks for all the information. Normally how long should it take to split? Are there any special steps I should or should not take to ensure a healthy split?

This might take a long time. I have a few rics that have been having 2 mouth for about 6 month and never split. There is a guy locally that sell Rics, he splits his with a razor every 2 month. And the survival rate seems to be very good. In fact all the ones I have gotten from him are all thriving minus one
bleached one.
