They do look pretty sad. I'd not jump to conclusions. Give them a day or two. My guess is they'll bounce back.

How long did you have them before you did the WC???

I agree with Amphious, while they look a bit rough, if the tank conditions are ok, they will recover.

let us know how they look at the end of today and/or tmw

How's your flow? Do you have any powerheads aimed directly at them? In my experience, Euphyllia and Xenia like moderate flow, and not direct flow aimed directly at them. Your Sarcophyton, however, looks better than last time. It looks like it might be starting to open up a bit.

It's been my experience with Xena, Euphylia and other softies that they need a longer time period to "settle" in. Perhaps, the water change was too soon. But the slow reaction to a new invironment, even with careful acclimation, is common. Give us a report in a couple of days.

hi ....
I am SAD

I was talking with a LFS owner and he was verry helpfull ...
We check every step over my water change ...

I just realize that my RO/DI unit DOES NOT have the RO membrane !!!!
my TDS is 25...
We think that is the cause of my problem ...

That's too bad. But I'm not sure 25 TDS is the problem. How are they looking today?

i agree, while this is bad news, i also dont believe that a TDS reading of 25 would cause this. if the other filters are still present liek the pre filters, ad the DI you are still getting a decent filtration, not best, but IMO its not bad enough to kill coral

The silicates would cause more of a dinoflaggelate outbreak, but unlikely to be the cause of the corals not expanding properly.....

just wait it out a bit.

What do you guys think of increasing the calcium a bit?? Didn't you get these frags from Gwen? What were her levels in comparison?

Sorry, sorry, I've still outta town and enjoying the last few hours of vacation!!

I keep my levels about the same
ph is about 8.2-8.3
alk about 3-4 meq/l
ca is close to 400
temp is 80
nitrites are 0
and nitrates are usually about 2-3
Haven't tested my water in awhile though, but it stays fairly consistent

Not sure what's going on Felipe. Do you have other corals besides the frags that are doing ok?

Do you have fish that eat corals?
