Coralimorph propagation

How would one go about propagating coralimorphs? I have one, and would like to have many. Can you frag them?

what type is it?
most regular mushroom corals will readily reproduce on there own, where as ricordias and yuma are much slower.

propagation is usually done by cutting them in half, or quarters, like a pizza.
and then setting them in a container in low current to heal and attach to something

mushrooms will grow well in any well kept tank. Rob is right in the pizza method, but it is very risky on yumas.

I prop mine regularly as well as naturally on their own. I just use scissors and some reef dip or lugols as an antiseptic. rubber band them to a rock rubble or whatever and in a week, I have a new bud starting that I can place where I want. just when I cut it, I try to leave part of the center mouth on the cutting. It seems to grow best and remain whole and not deformed when I do it. good luck. Frags rock!

if you have ricordia floridas, feed well and the mushroom will develop multiple mouths. cut between the mouths and place a slim piece of plastic in between so the mushroom will not fuse back together. once all the pieces have healed and shaped itself into an individual mushrooom, cut the mushrooms from its base leaving the bottom of its foot attached to the rock. place the removed mushrooms into you refugium/sump in a cup with coarse gravel. once the mushroom has attached to the coarse gravel, glue the attached mushroom onto a piece of rock. allow some time and the mushroom can be returned to the main display or glued to a larger piece of rock along with other mushrooms. in the meantime, the bottom of the feet of the mushrooms you sliced of at the base will have begun to grow a new head.
