Tiger Cowrie

I bought a tiger cowrie from a lfs and they told me it was reef safe I have been keeping a eye on him to make sure hes not eating my zoos or star polyps. Its been fine for now just wondering if i should keep him or just trade him in. Or is he reef safe and i dont have anything to worry about?

I have heard of several people keeping them, and some online vendors selling them with CUCs. I have never heard any complaints from anyone that they harmed anything. I believe they eat cyano and film algae.

The person who sold it to me said he had one in his reef and said they get to be big and he never had a problem with his. One other note they kept it in a tank with it think mostly sps corals not to sure on that though.
