Tiny Snail ID
I just found this tiny snail on the glass. It conviently crawled right up just out of the water for me to pluck out and photograph. Can anyone ID this? From the underside it looks very much like my trochus snails. But not so much from the top but I don't know how they start out looking. It is 1/8" long and moves fairly quickly but not as fast as a nassarius. I have ceriths, trochus, and nassarius in my tank. But it may have come from a couple
frags I just got.

Maybe a colinista snail. They are round shaped and are often hitchhikers on
LR .

I believe them to be harmless, even desirable.

Relax.
Amphibious is right.
Keep em.
I got em.
Who cares what their exact latin denotation is.
I know what it is.
But why bother?

Looks like a Nerite to me. Do you have a side shot of the snail? (Nerites are good too- you should be happy if it is one)
