crabs?

so i read a post with emerald crabs and it got me curious. ive heard little about emarld crabs although i never saw them here at my lfs. all i know about them is that they are good at eating bubble agae and are known to hop on fish and other small inverts. is this true? what else should i know about them cuz i got lots and lots of bubble agae and wanna try one of these guys

i've had them for years and had no problem. scavenger crabs, unlike hermits need to consume 10 times its own weight (so i was told) and that is why they are known for occassional agressiveness. some people have too many and they starve and get desparate.

as others have mentioned, emerald crabs are usually very well behaved. they known to be good scavengers, and consumers of various nuisance algaes as mentioned.

Hi all, sorry to bump an old thread but I came across this site by googling my name "Brad Leyten". I am just curious about the "crappywrite" statement as I don't understand, is there a problem with me watermarking my pictures?

i have 2 emeralds in my 20gal. but they can get a lil aggressive. they would reach into my lps mouth and pull the food out. i've seen them go after food inside the brain, the torch and the frog. be careful
