looks like a lobster.. any ideas what kind?
here ya go Adam, you wanted more invert questions, show us the magic and tell be about this little guy.
i have more images of a much higher resolution. if they are needed, i will post them
i found it in my old
fuge .
it survived 3 days with no heater or light.
and its about 1 inch long from the tips of the claws to tail

looks like some kind of pistol shrimp. maybe our resident Marine Bio dude could figure that one one. I am particularly looking at its claws. real interesting.

yes, i thought about that after posting...
when back down to look at it more, and thought.. hey that's looks like...
but was i already made the post, so i figured i would wait and see what others say..
it came as a hitchhiker, and I'm just curious what I'm going to do with it...
put it in my display, in my
fuge , take it to the
LFS , setup a small tank for it.. that's why i want to get more info on what it is, so i can make my decision

well from the single larger claw i am inclined to begin with a pistol shrimp.
but i dont have any of my books at work (geologists with invert books ha!)

pistol shirimp, if you keep it get a shrimp golby. they develop a working relationship that lots of people enjoy
