Reef Ratings for Talking Reef Users. Hello Rob, I has another suggestion that I got from another forum which I find extremely useful. The Manhattan Reefs Forum has a Reef Keeper Rating System which is similar to an EBay Feedback Rating, which allows you to rate a particular member on the forum for either advice given or more specifically transactions that occured. For instance if I arrange to purchase a Coral
Frag from another member and I'm pleased with the transaction I can give that member a positive Reef Rating which increases their Reef Rating Score by +1 and if I was dissatisfied I could give a negative score which decreased their Reef Rating by -1. Also a neutral Reef Rating is available if the transaction was in the middle which does not reward nor remove your current Feedback Rating. Their is also a sections to give a quick label to their rating and a detailed description box to allow other members to view the entire details of the transaction. It is a great way to allow members the ability to gauge a particular transaction such as selling or buying Coral
Frags , Used Equipment, etc. You touched on it with the Thank You system but I feel that this could take the
Talking Reef Forum to a new level while promoting hobbyist interaction even more.

BTW ... we also use the "thanks" button that is somewhat like what you were suggesting. it is on the lower right corner of posts from other users.

We don't need no stinking badges
My "Thanks" is simply having The
Talking Reef to call home
