Email Notifications have Stopped?

Hey all,

I PM'd Rob about this, but he may be very busy with all he does...

About 4 days ago I stopped receiving email notifications for my subscribed threads. I have verified that my CP options are set to "send instant email" and my threads are all labeled as "Instant". At first, I thought I was simply unpopular (and that may still be the case

), but I went back to some threads I created and indeed I saw several responses to my OP.

Is this a known problem, and how do I fix it?

BTW: I will attempt to verify that my (IMAP) email account is working as expected. I have received many other emails on this account over the past 4 days, so I doubt that the account is the problem.

have you checked your junk mail, if you have a seperate folder for that ?? i know a lot of things that i am expecting go to my "junk" folder and i have to add the site to the "safe" list. just a thought.

For example, I created a thread entitled "Phosphate + Carbon Reactor?" yesterday, and received some helpful replies - but I never received notification of any replies.

This leads me to my next question:

Will I not receive any notifications if I am logged into TR and merely browse various threads through the day?

I use the "New Posts" feature quite frequently, but rely on my email notification to determine whether anyone has responded.

Yeah, I checked my Junk folder. I have several rules that sift through emails - so I checked those as well.

That's odd. My notifications are working fine. I leave TR open all day at work and recieve notifications even if I'm logged into the site.

I'm sure Rob can fix it up.

I just changed my email address in the CP options to my other email address. It stated that I would be send a confirmation email, but so far - nothing. I think I am being passively banned from the site... :-)

yes, the system is sending out emails just fine. i just used it to send out a mass mailer, and i am always getting emails from the board. Carmie is having the exact opposite problem though.. she is getting emails when she isn't supposed to.. lol
i am checking into things, but so far i have no leads

If you have it on a subscription from PayPal make sure it went through. I had a problem with them a couple of months ago.

To All:
I have confirmed there is a problem with the mailing of some notifications to some people
at this point it appears a few users are not getting emails and newly registered users are not getting there confirmation emails. i have begun work with the developers to try and resolve this issue.

Int he mean time i thank you all for your patience while i work to resolve this

Not sure if you did anything, but imagine my suprise when I received 10 email notifications this evening. Happened around 10 pm PST. So the problem appears to be corrected, at least for me!

The problem is fixed for me too. I did a double-take when I saw the emails. Hooray!!!
