Wink Comma seperating tags

The last two times I have posted I have been told I needed to "Separate tags with commas". If this message is really needed I would change it's font to red so it sticks out because both times when I was brought back to the page I thought that it had not registered my click or something and hadn't gone anywhere.

However, next time your talking with one of your techie friends about the updates you wanted to do on TR this year ask them if this is really needed? I thought I had seen before in some e-mail website or something that it added the commas for me and I was curious if there was some sort of script they could add to the server commands. If you fixed that in that way newbies to the site wouldn't be sent back to the page of text they were trying to submit and you could delete the sentence that appears on these forms, "Separate tags with commas. " The site is busy enough with information and adds in my opinion.

Just wanted to add that little insight. I still love the shows, the site, and the community though.

Jon

PS I still wish we could watch the video casts in WMP

Hey Jon,
regarding the tags. The tags are optional, not required, so you are more than welcoem to leave the field blank if you wish. it is not possible to script the adding of the commas beucase the script woudl not know what your intentions were. since you can use multi word tags, its not as easy as adding a comma. for example you could have "food" or "fish food" or "fish food flakes" all as a single tag. but there is a max of three words per tag.

for more info on the tagging system see this post
New Tagging system

PS.
you are more than welcome to convert the vidcasts to any format you want..
