    Can you Identify this please?

Hello, so I found this tiny fella with my rocks and I can't really tell the difference between the various carpet anemonies (hamond, true carpet etc). Can anyone tell me what kind this please? Thanks.

That would be my guess, too.

It looks like a Rhodactis sp. but also looks like a mini carpet. When you touch it is it sticky? Will it take in whole things like small silver sides or shrimp?

Here's a good pic of a mini carpet anemone for comparing. But from looking at the two pics I am guessing a mini carpet.

Thanks for the replies guys. I too thought it was a kind of mushroom but then I started to lean towards carpet anemone.
Can a Rhodactis sp move around the aquarium? This thing has a big white foot with some small stripes on it. It has a sticky touch and was amazing to watch climb up a piece of rock (took like 3 hours).

It does look a lot like the mini carpets in your picture rayme, is that a hammonds carpet anemone?
    Thanks again.

+1 on mini carpet. looks very similar to the ones that I have. if it's sticky, it's an anemone of some kind.

Yup those definitely look like the one I have, they seem to be doing great. Have they proven to be aggressive at all? Thanks for the pic .

No, they're pretty passive. they will sting anything they touch, but they keep to themselves in my tank.
