Carmie my sweet, well if you like math sites, it stands to reason that you like maths, so why the hell didn't you cough up them figures for me then..lol It made me wish i spent more time studying in school, rather than chasing girls..

Yeah thats my mates shed, he has the entire wall filled with tools. Which sux, cause it means he's got a sh^t load more gear than me. Nice set up, typical bloke though, pot belly fire, bar, music, tv, internet, & tools.

He also lives about 45min south from me, way ......way out in the hills. Im thinking bout heading further that way actually. Just to piss him off i'll prob become his neighbor ..lol

To put it in perspective, on a good run, i live about 50min from the city & 1h 20min from the airport. So add the extra 45 min on where he lives, & its quite a travel distance from pretty much anywhere.

I'll tell you what the irrony is though, he was the first bloke i had a beer with in the LFS trade down here. lol He definately saw me coming....Sold me my first mangrove jack at $250 smacko's, but you know me, I JUST HAD TO HAVE IT!!

Today is sat, & 5 hours rest im up. Pretty soon i'll head back up!

hmmmm time to push that US trip up a bit.....

Nice set up, typical bloke though, pot belly fire
    got electric heat.....

    bar
    Pony keg and beer fridge

    music, tv
Just finished pulling another RG6 Quad run for the DirectTV today... havent settled on a screen yet. As far as music... I've got my Les Paul and a gibson blues junior out here in the "man shed" as my wife calls it. My own little space

    internet, & tools.
heres where the fun comes in... I'll make it short...
    1. I love tools... love them... positively love them...
    2. Benefits of being a geek in business... T1 piped to the garage (not as quick as you DSL and Cable modem users but solid as a rock!).
    3. Oh yeah, did I mention the reloading bench!

Good luck with those angles man, I hope your working out some sort of jig during this run to use when you build the production unit.

You learned more by figuring them out yourself. I love math! If I hadn't been so dead set on being a veterinarian from the time I was a kid (and even though everyone told me how hard it was to get in to vet school) I would have gone into Engineering instead of Agriculture.

Ok, so we're getting there. & a sh^t load of breathing in MDF dust later Flush angles are pretty much done & as you can see, its looking conceptionally beter. Still got to source proper hinges, cause the ones i had didn't cut the mustard.

The inner support structure for the walls still needs to be calculated & replicated. Ive decided to make the full version out of Taz Ash, hard wood in other word so i can reduce potential bowing. Pine is cheap & crap, so you get what you pay for. Ive already experienced issue with bowing.

Anyways, till next round i guess. Hope you guys are enjoying the build progression. I know it can be abit of drain when your reading a build in real time, but hey, deal with it! lol

ok so whats a reloading bench>?

Its 1/3 the scale bud, so a custom jig for this one & the big one, wouldn't be entirely possible. Using the angle ratio on the circular saw was good enough, untill you have to go past 45%, so then you've got to do a reverse cut to get around it.

as i mentioned, the ration remains constant. The baseline is just a smidge over 3X the DT, so if the display is 2ft cube, the base is 6ft square.
    Thats nuts!

For the full build, namely just due to not wanting any variances, Ive decided to source laser cutting to my spec's. The rest i'll do myself.

Also my mate that you saw, hes a spray painter, so he's offered to take it to the paint shop for some sweet automotive wet look finnish of my choosing.

Lets say you want to quote 4 people. Hit the multi quote button for posts 1 - 3 and then the quote button for the last post. This will put all of the quotes into the same post. You won't see anything happen until you hit the quote button.

hey ironman, yeah bud, im looking into it actually, yet its a stage thats before the lighting, yet after the design, so its alittle way off yet. Ive got plenty of projects piling up in the que also, so ive got to focus my attention when i reach it, other wise i dont prioritize, meaning the logical creativity suffers.Ether that or i return to being lazy & the only spectacular things you'll see me produce is opening my beer bottle with an @ss cheek

so V, are you planning on using the prototype as a nano? i would have the full size in the livingroom, and put the nano in the sleeping quarters. great job on the mini model, i think i may have to start a project also!
we are all on the long road to our dream tanks, im going slow and enjoying the journey!

well when the misses realised how big the base would get, 6square, her smile dropped i did however quickly throw in the clause that i could sell it if need be. ahhhh, that's what life's all about bud, fighting the spot fires & hoping like crazy your management skills can prevent that major inferno...lol

yeah i could use both, its going to be an exact 1/3 template so i dont see why not.

yeah bud, projects are fun, you should get involved.

heh the space issue shall live on in paralell with the cash issue for eternity when it comes to man and woman I'm afraid.

Luckily in my situation I have a lot of fire gear, paying much of the in-laws bills because you care about her family buys one a lot of wiggle room when it comes to these things! Good luck with that one V, hopefully she's into the completed design so much the selling thought never arises again!
