Thanks Carmie for the input. My LFS let me have the cardboard protector top that the 54 corners ship with so I could bring it home and "measure" to make sure the tank would fit where I want it... Problem is that it does fit... perfectly... and now I wanna run out and buy it. Maybe, just maybe...

Here is an image of my latest frag. It is an orange digitata. I had a frag of this before and it bleached when my temp controller failed and the temp went up to 86. I'll keep you posted on how it does.

Great photo! I really like the way the lighting looks in the pic. Is that how it looks in reality also? Whats your lighting consist of?

Yes that is pretty much how it looks. I have 2x65w PC lights (1-10K, 1-actinic) towards the back of the tank and 2x20w (95K) NO fluorescent tubes in the front. It is kind of a hard tank to light - the longest straight length is 30" and it is about 24" front to back.

My deneronephthya had a baby! Here is the best picture that I could get. You can see the little pink nub of a baby just a little to the left of the mother.

How many hours do you spend cleaning the glass? I think I have given up the fight on my nano. I am just going to let the coraline algae grow. You have 2 65 watt PC's and your chiller is running? Now I know why you would want a LED light fixture instead of the MH.

It was unseasonably warm the first of the year and the house was heating up during the day. Since we REFUSE to run the AC in January the chiller was kicking on in the afternoons!

I have found that some SPS with medium to high light requirements do fine with the PC's. I research the corals first and ask lots of questions.

I picked up a pocillopora damicornis yesterday in preparation for the ProjectDIBS Breeder's Challenge.

Carmie - I agree - I use PCs only and am getting terrific growth rates. Of course I also feed my corals regularly.
