I finally got a good shot of my relatively new favia.

it looks happy
That is very lovely CJo. I like how the coralline complements it also. What type of water flow is it situated in?

"Get Reefy With It!"
It has only been in the DT for a few days. It has pretty good flow as it is at the point where my return and Koralias all intersect. It seems pretty happy.

Very pretty Carmie!
Very beautiful
Nice. Thanks for sharing
Ha, ha. I just turned 50! You have to work hard if you want to keep up with the real old folks!
And then there are the truly ancient among us. Carmie, you are still just a "pup". Oh to be 50 again. Maybe if I work out a little harder.
Who ever said, "Corner tanks do not make good DTs"??? I don't know if anyone ever said it but, they just need to see yours Carmie. This 54 corner is maturing into a beautiful DT.
Thanks so much for sharing it, Carmie.

Hi Carmie!
I don't know how I've missed this thread all this time! I found it this morning and only just got through it. I LOVE your tank! It's beautiful! I second the FTS request above.
Sorry about your argi and six line. My LFS keeps recommending each of those for my ten gallon sump. I told them my forum would kill me if they found out I'd bought them.
I ought to be reading from casebooks, but reefs are so much more interesting!
As promised here is an updated FTS!

wow Carmie your anemone just keeps getting bigger and so has your frogspawn. Is the clown the only fish you have right now?

Yes, the clown is the only fish right now. I am deciding on what else I would like to add.

Hi Carmie, what is the pretty pink coral on the bottom left? Is your favia still in QT?
Hey Carmie, thanks for the updated FTS! It's all looking great!
Is that a Torch on the left? it looks like mine.
What size Koralias are those?
Tom
That is my fungia. It is really not that pink but it is very pretty. I'll try to get a picture tonight.
The favia is in the DT. It is in the center on the sand.
Tom that is a torch on the left. The pumps are K2's. I am happy with them but would have been OK to have gone with K3's.

Looks very happy, what do you feed your coral?
I baste them with whatever I am feeding the tank. Fish mush, Cyclopeeze, mysis, Oyster Eggs, Formula 1 & 2 flakes are all on the menu.

Thanks for the recent pic and the endless knowledge you have given me. The tank looks awsome, my favorite part is the rock work. Theres's nothing better than having a a mound of rock be a creative outlet for ones self. Well done. Can you direct me to a good book that has coral identification on a scientific level? Thanks again.
LARRY!!!!
Positive ID of corals is difficult and must be done ar the microscopic level. Check out coralidea.com (I think, might be org) and see if it will give you what you're looking for. (I'm on a mobile and can only see 1 window at a time.)
