i'm so excited!! me and my good friend drove 45mins to vividaquariums.com and bought a couple frags! We got unbelievable pricing too! I bought a frag piece with about 15 brown with grn center zoes, and 5 "big bang theory" palys for only 40 buck!(first pic...should have costed about $160+) and 4 "candy apple pinks" for 20bucks!!!(should have costed $60) I couldnt be happier!. O and I also bought a SPS coral called "jokers Revenge acro" So bada$$ but costed 70bucks.
looking at the pix together like that makes them look somewhat the same but i assure you they don't look anything alike in person!
Great looking Zoe's. I love the look of the zoe's in the second pic.

Thanx Rayme, i was these guys would grow like everyone says they do. kinda slow going to me, my calcium is 385 so you guys think somewhere around the 400 range would be better?
Hi Mike...i'm James..zoas don't really need the Ca...since they are a softy...only LPS and SPS really need it. I supplement iodine (but at half the recommended dose) and they seem to grow very fast. Some people are against the iodine, so read into it before (like everything in this hobby) doing it. What is your Kh, NO3 etc. Things grow great when readings are prime.
LARRY!!!!
But before adding Iodine make sure you buy a test kit and test to see if you need it. It is always good to test what you are dosing.

thanx compulsive, my waters parameters really good. i just couldnt understand why so many articles that i seen were about zoas growing to fast, my zoas are healthy but arent growing like everyone was writing about. never knew about iodine. thanx again.
You are welcome...don't just listen to me though here at Talking Reef it is your best interest to take everyones opinions, do research, then take the plunge yourself. It's like being a kid, sometimes we don't learn from being told, we gotta make our own mistakes....lol...here are some before and 45 days later pics. If you think bout it when there are only a couple zoas, like 1/2 inch diameter, that whole diameter is all that can grow, but if you already have a patch 4 inches in diameter then it will have more area to grow...I would say generally the bigger the patch of zoas the faster it will grow, generally...as long as your water doesn't suck...am I right father time???lol

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day..
But he will starve before he eats one of MY fish !
I cant contribute much, but this is what I have.
I put them next to the entrance of my blue devil's cave. He doesnt like it when I get close to the tank with something other than food.
Those are really brilliant orange!

Thanks. I got them for half price because the guy didnt want to take the time to remove the little patches of xenia. 10 bucks. I had to do it.
To get an idea of their size, the PVC the devil lives in is 1 1/2 inside dimention.
Salty dawg, great looking zoe's they have some awesome color.
