    Acan Help

I have two acan frags in my QT that is having ammonia problems at the moment.

I have them in the QT for about a week. Last night I saw the purple and dreen one puff out so much it looked so different from when I first got it. THe blood red one that I got at the same time isnt as puffed.

Are they sick or is this normal? I've never had an acan before.

    WHen I fist got them

    Last night

Hey Marcella! All "puffed up" is a good thing! It is normal for them to grow and shrink. usually they will open up in the day and close up at night. If they are disturbed they will contract and also when feeding. It could take weeks for your recent aquasitions to show "normal" behavior. They are still in recovery from fragging, transportation, etc.

Really? Oh that puts my mind at ease. I saw it all puffy and moving with the slight current and didnt expect that. It looked swolled or mushylike.

I also got alittle nervous when I saw my frogspawn looking a bit strange last night and it had a dark threadlike substance come out of one of its mouths. After watching it for like an hour, it looked healthy and i good spirits, I came to the conclusion that I just witnessed it pooping.

    LOL That was classic.

Marcella, I agree a fat and plump Acan is healthy.

LOL You guys crack me up.

Mom's worry about things like that.

Im sure that the frogspawn felt much better after his 'release' I wonder if he felt self conscious with me starting at him? If I had know sooner I would have given him his privacy.
