    Breeding questions

Hi, I'm new here! My boyfriend and I are ready to have children.. Banggai Cardinals that is. I have a plan and a few questions.
I have a 34 gallon Red Sea Max, and I was going to put the male and female in there with the other fish. Once they do their mating thing, when exactly do I separate the male?
Also, when the male has the babies, is it okay if I keep the female in my main 34 gallon and put the male and the babies in a 24 gallon with a divider?
How long do I feed the male after he has the babies before he's ready to mate again?
Finally, what can the babies eat and when are they mature enough to give to our LFS?
    Thanks!

    Hi Sarah and to TR.

Banggais are in my future but right now I don't have any advice to offer.

    Hi Sarah Welcome to TR.

I have had cardinals before but have never had them breed since I have only had one. But here is some links to info about breeding.

he he you may want to take a trip over to the MASM forums as well

    Marinelife Aquarium Society of Michigan

They've got a breeding initiative going right now that would give you a lot of help!

Old habits are hard to squelch, especially when it is a fun activity intending no one harm. All done out of love with a chuckle and a wink.

Don’t be sorry for me. I do it for fun and friendship. Besides, I’m old enough to be her grandfather maybe even her GREAT grandfather. You guys read way to much into this old man’s flirtatious nature.
