    cutting eggcrate

    is there a best or easiest way to do this?

    don't try to cut it. break it by running a screwdriver through it.

    use tile cutters or wire cutters to make the original footprint that you need. Then use pliers to trim the garbage off of it.

    If you have one, table saw with fine tooth blade, 80 + teeth is the way to go , that will give you a really nice and clean cut.

    that's great way, i've done that before. but if the eggcrate is not in a place of show, i bet i'll be done with my screwdriver before you finish setting up your saw.lol

    a dremel with a cutting wheel should work well too

    well, me & the screwdriver didn't do too well together....i have a table saw, maybe i'll try that

    hold the eggcrate vertical. stick the screwdriver through the square, hold each end of the screwdriver with each hand. drag or push the screwdriver in the direction you want to go with force. you are trying to drive the shaft of the screwdriver through each little individual crate. picture a karate chop through a stack of boards.
