I got a chance to plumb the Water Blaster HY-16000. Since it's in sump, I'll have more room for a ATO tank and CaRx.
Thanks for asking! I replaced the sphere with a BB 5g glass bow-front cube. The sphere was really difficult to get my hands into to clean properly. The cube is doing really well though. I picked it up at my lfs for $20, and then asked really nicely and they drilled overflow/return holes for me. Plus a reefer buddy gave me an LED spot that creates really nice light, shadows, and shimmer.
I ought to be reading from casebooks, but reefs are so much more interesting!
Tried and failed on that one,
all i ever got was
"hahaha, that'll be twenty bucks..."

I got my QT back from Gen. He patched the old bulkhead holes and drilled new ones higher up. I was getting too much bubbles and a slurping sound w/the old ones being too low. I installed some new bulkheads and added tru unions for easy disassembly.
Now comes water test time. A little trick a buddy showed me (way back when) is to add a little silicone on the threads.

I had a few hours to work on some plumbing. I added some tru unions to the drains (for further ease of disassembly) and finished the durso drains.
I wanted to fire up the water blaster, but I have a small leak where the bulkhead is in the sump. I'm going to have Gen patch it or I'll swing by Tap plastics and pick up a scrap and glue it myself.
I added sand and rock to the 40 gal fuge. I'm thinking of adding sea grass and a bunch of peppermint shrimp. I heard The Smithonian does that in their fuges, so they breed and their larvae feed the main display.
Got some new toys.
Whoa!! Those are some neat toys...
Elaborate plz

Just trying to make life easier. Test kits can vary and differentiating colors can be frustrating to say the least.
I got a chance to hookup the Water Blaster HY-16000 pump. It is indeed a beast, I have it dialed down probably 40%. I'll build a manifold to feed the skimmer & reactors and utilize the full potential of the pump. Also, it's quite a bit quiter than the hammerhead, but still audible. The test will be if the wife can hear it at night.
Wow, thats some fancy stuff.
Where'd you get all of it from?

I finished the manifold. I have three additional feeds via gate valves for a bio pellet reactor, skimmer, & carbon reactor.
Pic of the manifold feeding the skimmer and carbon reactor.
Pic of manifold feed for the bio pellet reactor. I'm using Coralvue biosphere pellets. The recommended amount is 100-150 ml per 25 gal of water. I want to start out gradually and will use 800 ml. Also, I know it's recommended to place the output of the reactor near the intake of the skimmer. Since I have a recirculating skimmer, should I tie it in the feed line in the skimmer ? Any advice on bio pellet usage would be appreciated.
