Hydroid jellyfish medusa perhaps. Look like this?
This morning when I turned on the light in my tank I noticed about 8-10 if not more of what I think might be tiny starfish. When they were only the glass they looked like little snow flakes, one the light came on most of them detached and started swimming. They swim in a way that is very like a Jelly fish and they look like little bells. Later when I looked the tank again there were circular shapes cleared in the algae that was growing on the sand like something had been digging in several spots. The tank has been cycling for 19 days. Any ideas?.

'droids for sure...since your tank is cycling, they may have appeared in response to a copepod bloom, as they typically wax and wane depending on the amount of small, live prey available in a system.

It sounds like they could be hydroids. They are pretty common in a new tank and usually go away on thier own.
