Times for types of lighting

I have 2 atinic bulbs and 2 10k bulbs my question is should the atinic bulbs be on when the 10k bulbs are on or are the atnic bulbs just used to simulate sunrise and sun set??? any info would be great it is going to be a reef tank. sorry for the spelling!!!!

Yes, they should stay on while the 10k bulbs are on.

first bbq yeah? or rather first tank just so you know what im on about.

if you wish to have a different effect & you have seperate timers, then you can turn your actinics on slightly before & slightly after your main lights. As phursty mentioned, on when your main are on.

they are secondard to your main lights & lets be honest, if only to make sh^t look pretty cool.

dont worry to much about the spelling, mine has its good & bad days also.
if your worried about it, there is a 'abc' above a blue tick in the right hand window on the text application. with the download of a small patch, you can spell check your posts if you wish!

yeah thats the way i have them set up the blues come on 1 hour before the the 10k and go out an hour after the 10k and then the moon lights are on for an hour after that. Just wanted to make sure i have it right thanks for the info
