Yea its a 36 inch but a very bright one it lights up my tank a lot. I plan on getting a sump soon I'm waiting on my sister to get me a 29 gallon but if worst come the worst Ill just set up my 10 gallon its better than no sump and the best part is I have some extra Plexiglas from projects around the house.

Sounds like a good idea, but would be very tiresome. Never getting any rest, sleeping outdoors in a sleeping bag during all kinds of weather just to keep all the leaves from being stripped off the tree!

You would have to grow it in rented out houses with lights and big flour pots and act all mysterious until someone gets curious and calls the cops and then your busted. If you get my drift.

I get your drift! Very funny story - one of my neighbors and very good friend is a Narc officer for the state of TX - he had in the past already told me about the "Fly overs" they do at night to see which houses Glow from fluorescent lighting typically used for growing such plants.
A few months ago while standing outside talking he asked how many tanks I had running now. I told him three but then promptly asked "Why".....He said that our windows glow blue after dark and he wanted to know if I had added more fish tanks or was I into Hydroponics pot growing now!
They are always watching...
LOL, one of my friends gets all of the lights for his tanks from sheriffs' auctions.

I was looking at my LR tonight and just wanted to take some macro shots of my Minnie feather dusters. It also looks like some red Coraline is starting to grow on my lava rock it's to small to take a pic of but as soon as it gets big enough I will take a pic for you. Enjoy
Here is one more pic I forgot about in the pic is a hitchhiker sponge.

It looks like everything is moving along, nice and slowly, looks good
Hey Raymond,
Great job getting everything running! Just want to let you know about those T5 bulbs since I did a lot of research and switched up my lighting with new bulbs and two more lights via a Retrofit kit.
I'm sure you are going to want some nice fluorescing of the corals you eventually get. Don't waste your time with true actinics with your setup, you won't get the PAR you want for a nice bright tank. Look into two bulbs and get what is on sale:
- ATI Blue Plus (http://www.reefgeek.com/manufacturer...rescent_by_ATI)
- Geissemann Powerchrome Actinic Plus (Giesemann Powerchrome Actinic Plus 39W 36 inch T5 High Output Bulk Reef Supply)
You will really be surprised at what these do! My green star polyps would look dingy with two 10,000K's and two regular generic blues, but OMG the pop I get even with the daylights on! My Green Millepora is so vivid now, its nuclear.
You can also add a UVL 75/25 (75% daylight and 25 actinic) to give your other colors more pop. It has a pepto bismol tinge that is great for reds, oranges and purples. I think if you had
1 - 10000K daylight or 120000K actinic white
2 - Blue Plus or Powerchrome Actinics
1 - UVL 75/25
you'd really like the color. I would definitely look to adding at least one of the Blue Plus or Powerchrome Actinics when you can. Well worth the $20.
Thanks for giving my Lil Brother some one ups on the lighting Brian. I love those 2 words when used in describing corals' appearances - "Pops" and "Nuclear"
I'm excited about your new life forms Lil Brother! I know ever day you are probably starting to notice new things. Fascinating! I bet you already have that turkey baster ready and will weild it like samurai sword. Lol Thanks for the pics. I am really looking forward to watching your tank mature and you putting your plans into motion.
