    Dev scored!

Lol well went to my local reef forum and got a guy getting out of the hobby and scored big I think. I got a 65 gallon high tank, Came with stand/sump/hood/misc parts. Hood is gonna go im going to custom make one with 4 t5's and 4 leds for moonlight. The sump is a 20g acrylic with 3 chambers so im going to use middle as a fuge. Already drilled for overflow and another hole I think for a return. Misc parts included a korilla #4, all testing kits, fuge light, 750 gph rio return pump, hoses and such.Ya i know the stand is ugly im going to strip it down and paint in black and put some more supports in it (scared it will collapse then my wife will never let me go aqua again). Lol all this for $150 bucks, I think its awesome deal.

**I have a 30g tank with a HOB skimmer and filter/bio wheel. Im prolly gonna trash the skimmer since the top is missing and turn it into a QT with biowheel and and and air pump.

Heres some pics and let me know what you guys think. Ya i know there dirty just need some time to clean.

Dev, that's a great deal!!! You have lots of potential there. If you can, I'd put a few more T5's (with individual reflectors of course) in the hood. Down the road you will be glad you did. I would really have a skimmer for the DT. I have a bio-wheel for my QT. I use it with the bio-wheel for fish and just for flow for corals and inverts.

O ya def getting a skimmer for the fuge. Lol i was saying about the QT, i have an extra skimmer but from what I read no point to have that for a QT besides a biowheel. Im still trying to look for a 6 bulb set with the leds built in, like the moonlight for the corals and fish.

LEDs are easy to add. Go for the bulbs/reflectors with at least 2 cords if you can.

looks like a great deal. Are you sure those are t5 bulbs? They look much larger than t5 bulbs i have seen/used, more like t8 or t12...but it could just be the picture.

LOL idk what those are I got with the tank, im trashing those or giving them to another person for free. Re-doing the whole hood and plan to put t5's in since I would like to go for a coral tank.

well further inspec of my tank, come to find out there VHO 2 acntinc or however you spell it and other 2 standard white. The wiring is kinda shady so me and me electronic friend are goign to rewire them and seal them better and make a new hood for them until I can save up for new 8x54 t5 lighting with led moonlight. I think im going to keep the VHO for 1 year to get the tank and do a FO tank till next summer that way I get my feet really wet in this adventure.

Question all 4 bulbs are on 1 ballast, should I get another ballast and run the 2 blue and the 2 white on different times or keep all at same time and just put them all on a timer for nightime with no lights. I still want to do live rock, are VHO sufficent for this or what. Let me know TR you guys fuggin rock I loce this place
