It is very pretty -- but it seems a bit over populated to me.

Yea that's the only flaw I really saw in this video that I caught everything else he said sounded like he knew what he was talking about.

I wish he would of done a full show of the whole reef because it looks like it could be long in the back it could be 9 or 10 foot long but we just see the front but I agree.

David Saxby has been in the hobby for a long time and hes also the owner of Deltec. IIRC that tank system is several thousand gallons and obviously well maintained which is why he gets away with such a high bioload.

You are correct Poppin, and it is an amazing, beautiful tank..... but my main concern was/is... he mentions water quality as the key, but fails to "Stress" to veiwers that his tank is nothing near the norm or mainstream hobbiest. I hope this does not cause folks who know no better, to be led to believe that they too can stock a tank to his example of capacity. I'm actually surprised that he doesn't deal with ich and stress related diseases.

I actually Googled him and found several links and articles on his tank. I agree he has a large capacity system and it is well maintained but I still stand my ground:

300 fish in a 1200 gallon glass box inside someones home is not good fish keeping. I understand that he has a huge sump that feeds into this tank but the sump size doesn't change the dimensions of the glass box they have to move freely in.
His tank is also filled front to back, side to side and top to bottom with coral which is beautiful but doesn't leave room for much else.
    Just My Opinion

"David Saxby is known throughout the world as being at the forefront of modern reef keeping and his 3,700 gallon aquarium system has appeared on television and in many books. David describes himself as a 'reef gardener' rather than a biologist and has learned the hard way over many years what works and what doesn't whilst pushing forward the boundaries of the hobby through his worldwide connections."

holy crap 3700g system thats huge!!
