Hi Guys, here is the formula for figuring gallons.
Using inches, it is L x W x H = cubic inches, divided by the number of cubic inches in a gallon, 231 = gallonage
So, 48 x 18 x 21 = 18,144 cubic inches, divided by 231 = 78.5 gallons
Deducting for thickness of glass, a good guesstimate of actual gallonage would be 76 gal.
Easy to remember formula. Oh, by the way, it's accepted standard to give dimensions as Length x width x height or L x W x H.
