I'm guessing a 40 gallon tank. Do you have a pic of the tank. Thanks

Hi Guys, here is the formula for figuring gallons.

Using inches, it is L x W x H = cubic inches, divided by the number of cubic inches in a gallon, 231 = gallonage

    So, 48 x 18 x 21 = 18,144 cubic inches, divided by 231 = 78.5 gallons

Deducting for thickness of glass, a good guesstimate of actual gallonage would be 76 gal.

Easy to remember formula. Oh, by the way, it's accepted standard to give dimensions as Length x width x height or L x W x H.
