    Chiller and Filter DEAL.

Ive got an oceanic 29 gallon biocube. but will be upgrading to something much bigger one day and turning my 29 gallon biocube into a fuge or some sort. Anyway, I have found a deal and will be picking up a 1/3 horsepower chiller and a Fluval fx5 (rated to 400 gallons) for $300 .. yeahhhh $300. this chiller goes for $700 and the filter was $400 but its on ebay at $200 now. I just thought id share my wonderful news.. Im very happy.

i dont know that you really want the filter for a reef tank but a chiller is always nice if you go with MHs

as long as you clean them very religiously i have heard to could use them, they are just not the best for salt water. people who do use them mostly implement them as water movers more than filters.

we are talking about a fluval fx5 . its got all those stages of filtration. and yeah its rated for up to 400 gallons so its very overkill on the 29 gallon biocube but the waters going to be great. and When I upgrade to like a 100 gallon tank I can use it on that tank. plus a $400 filter I got for $135 and a $700 plus chiller I got for $175. great deal.

Score! That is a great deal. Just keep your eye on the nitrate level in your tank. The filtration stages will build up aerobic bacteria if they are not kept clean.
