    Frag Swap

Sorry I havent been on as much we have been really busy at work. So the other day I got a chance to go to my first frag swap. I have to say it was an experience and I need to brush up on my terms. I thinkI need to read into all the different types of coral and have a better understanding. I wish there were more swaps around but a gentleman told me about a site TC Frag I think it was that will list groups in my area and frag swaps.

Yeah, I actually thought of asking if anyone knew you, I wanted to put a face to the name. I always appriciate your advice. I know it was a small chance that you would have been there but the thought crossed my mind. Did you go? The swap was right by my house, I drove up to another LFS about 20 min from my house to buy some frags and the store was closed with a sign, went to frag swap which of course is a mile from my house so drove all the way back. I wouldnt have know if I didnt try to go to Coral Sea. From what I understand there are several shops up on Northlake, and PGA that I havent discovered yet.

Yes Sweetpea, I was there. If you had asked around someone would have pointed me out, I'm sure.

    Wish you had.

You can post them to and edit the size on photobucket.com. A free photo service. Just register and you get your own page. I usually reduce mine to 800x600.

You're right Raymond and I find girls that go to frag swaps are smarter, friendlier and easier to strike up a conversation with than bar flies. ---->

I haven't been to a frag swap yet, but am co-leading our club's efforts to host a regional exchange in October. The site will be about 60-70 miles from the Bay Area and Sacramento so it should be a nice event. I even coordinated with the two major clubs to make sure our event isn't conflicting or too close in time to the others.

I'll make sure to post details for the Northern California folks ASAP!

You've got the right idea Raymond. If you find one under these circumstances, you have something in common right off the get go. Couldn't get much better than that. Of course you'd better plan on making a huge sum of money in your chosen field because with two of you with the addiction, well, you know what that means. mega $$$$ !!!

Yah I thought of that I would have to open a savings account just for fish tanks lol but its a good idea. But i first got to go to collage and get my degrees than I can live a happy American life comfortably. Not unless the economy gets worse and I don't know if Obama's plans are going to work with his chosen congress going the total opposite of him. But it would be awesome to find a girl with the same interest as me.

YOu just have to get people around you involved and teach them about what you are doing, so they understand what is actually going on in your reef. Thats how I got my friends and hubby interested. In the long run you will still be more interested then them, unless they have their own tank. Thats seems to be the trend.
