What you need is a boost in pressure, therefore the booster pump is what you need. I don't think a permeate will give you what you need.
I recently moved to a house that has well water and my 100GPD RO/DI unit is not producing water nearly as well as it did when I had city water. If I'm lucky, I get about 2 gallons of water in my storage tank before the unit turns off and even then it takes quite a while to get that.
My water pressure (after pre-filters/before RO membrane) is around 40 psi. So, my question is should I get a booster pump or a permeate pump?
The most logical answer would be the booster pump since the pressure is so low, but I"ve also read that the permeate pump can help in low pressure systems.
On a related note - are the Aquatec 8800 booster pumps any good or are there better options (but for around the same price)?
Thanks!
Jason
