hmmm...not sure I would want to introduce bleach into my tank. I find it hard to believe that it wouldn't cause serious issues.
I've been reading and searching the internet about Aptasia. Has any body tried vinegar/bleech in a syringe and if so did it work?

Okay so bleach is out . But have you tried the vinegar
Hey Brodie! I know of no "home brew" remedies, but can vouch for "Joe's Juice." Amphibious, one of our sponsors here on TR, sells it and can get it to you in 3 days. Worth every penny. It's fast, easy and effective.

thank you for that . Does this Joe's juice require injuctions aswell.
it comes with a small syringe which you just hold up to the oral disk of the aiptasia and squirt a little in, the aiptasia think it is food and will accept it no problem. Once they do that they are gone in no time at all. I will also put in a recomendation to try Index Amphibious is great he had the joes juice to me in 3 days and it is still the cheapest I have found, even after considering shipping.
I've used this method with great success:
1. Prepare the injection solution, either Kalkwasser or white distilled vinegar will work (I prefer the Kalkwasser myself since I add it to my tank anyways) If you do use vinegar, use it straight out of the bottle don't dilute it.
2. Turn off the pumps
3. Feed the aptasia (sounds crazy, but keeps it from being able to shrivel up inside a rock) wait a minute for it to ingest the food
4. Quickly jab the aptasia right through the mouth and pump him full of the solution
5. After a minute or so the aptasia should start to denigrate, use a turkey baster to suck up all the bits and pieces.
6. turn the pumps back on
Hope this helps, I hate spending money on stuff like joe's juice, but that's just me. It might take a few tries to get the hang of stabbing the aptasia, but once you do, this is a cheap and effective way of removing the pest anemones.
Thanks to all with all helpfull info

Not sure where you got that "home remedy" but, it would definitely get rid of your Aptasia, ALONG WITH EVERYTHING ELSE IN YOUR TANK. DON'T ANYONE EVER TRY THIS REMEDY!!!
Back in the '70s some one recommended using one (1) drop of bleach per 10 gallons of water for the eradication of ICH. I tried it with success. EVERYTHING IN THE TANK WAS DEAD IN THE MORNING, FISH AND ICH. EVERYTHING!!!
You can try the remedies mentioned above, I have with mixed results. Three years ago I was introduced to Joe's Juice and have used it with great success ever since, as has many of my customers. Here's the link to my web site and Joe's Juice.
Results are guaranteed with Joe's Juice, not so with "home remedies".

I tried various "chemical" solutions but never could seem to get rid of them all. Even if you kill the ones you can see, there are more that you can't see.
If you're up for a bit of a challenge, a Copperband Butterfly seems to be the best way to control them. I haven't seen an aptasia in my display tank since I added one of these fish. The trick is finding one that is healthy and eats well. Mine eats mysis, clams (from the grocery store) and any aptasia I collect out of my frag tank.
peppermint shrimp are super cheap and they always work for me.
I've done the kalk injection too.

Thank you all for the great info and the fast feed back
I think i would like to try they Copper band, but will they eat other things such as polpys
Copperbands are generally considered reef safe. Usually you have the opposite problem in that they wont eat anything and starve to death. I have been through 3 of them at $40 each in the past, a mistake I wont make again.
They are a VERY hit or miss fish when it comes to getting one that may actually eat prepared food.

So I found a local pet store who had joes juice, the directions are pretty vague as to dosage or how many you can hit at once. Can I just go to town on them or is it best to just do a couple at a time?
You can just have at it. I've done a dozen or more at one shot without any problem. To start, I'd do one or two until you get the feel of the syringe. Remember, you are feeding them, not injecting them.

Rodger That. Let the attack begin. Thank you once again for your stellar response
So I fed those little suckers now should i suck them out? or what? That stuff really seemed to work well
No. They will be gone in a short while. Check them in the morning, I'll bet they are gone.

Nuke 'em high!
so i got home after work and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yeah all aptasia is gone, well all that i can see. sweet
Thanks again amphibious for your help on this post.
where do they go if you dont siphon them out, do they dissolve or something, im just a little curious of the decaying factor,
mine were easy to deal with, they came from a seller on ebay where i bought some culurpa, and noticed these little critters on the leaves, i posted a pic and they were id as aptasia, i just cut the leaves off and chucked them in the bin, sepersted the culurpa into a large plastic container until i was sure there were no more?
nuisance algae = aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhh
After feeding with the Joe's Juice is there any clean up?
