i wouldnt say its too strong, i would actually lean towards not strong enough.
18w 50/50 is not that much for a stony coral like that.
that said, i have never kept a brain, so this is just based on my research from the past.
I just witnessed my Brain "dropping off some kids". Recently it ate my small cleaner shrimp. I saw it inside it's puffy body. Today I was lookign at the brain since it was really poofy. Then I noticed it inflate & then deflated very quickly. Then thats when I saw a nugget leave it's body...ewwwww. that was a first :-)
Hey Rob, Valeen wants to know why our brain seems to loose it's red color. Now it's a light pink color. It that signs of bleaching? We have it in a 2.5gal nano tank & it has a 18w 50/50 PC light. Is the light too strong for it?

Well that's really odd. If you say it's not enough light then it's loosing it's color for some odd reason.
