    Been a while...

It's been a while since I updated my tank journal so I wanted to share with you all some pictures of my corals.

I'm sure you will be back before you know it and if you decide to wait we're not going anywhere

I've come full circle Bobby. I started with a 90 gallon reef after keeping Discus fish for a couple of years, then moved and downsized to a Nano. Now I have 3 reef tanks setup and I am in the process of starting my own coral frag business. I don't know if I will be able to call it work because I love doing it.

Thanks Carmie and Dog! The tank is doing great! I switched my top-off to Mrs. Wages and the levels have been stable and I'm getting phenomenal growth from my corals. My Neon Green Candy has split 3 times in the last month and Blue Xenia has stretched out across the middle of the tank.

I am having a little trouble with majano anemones. I bought some stuff called AIPTASIA-X and it seems to work pretty well. The problem with these majano's is they hide under other corals and rocks so they just seem to pop-up out of the blue.

My Yellow-eye Kole is still being finicky, but the other Tangs are growing like crazy.

    Hey all,
I seems like forever since I updated this thread. I honestly don't know know if anyone even remembers me. My 125 gallon is no more. I took it down when I moved about 1 1/2 years ago.

I now have a 240 gallon reef with a 75 gallon sump/fuge. I guess you can say I've come full circle with the hobby. I've tried everything from biopellets to MB7. I am currently using an ATS (Algae Turf Scubber). I can honestly say this little thing is one of the best inventions I've ever seen IMHO. My nitrates seem to stay around 0-5 and phos are 0-.05... I need to get me one of those Hana testers... .

Sorry I've been away so long. I've been posting on my local forum here in NC. I don'tt post their very much anymore. I mostly just read what other people say and reply to folks who need help. I don't consider myself an expert, I just offer my opinion like everyone else .

Here is one of the last videos of my gallon reef tank. Believe it or not I still have most of the corals in the pics. Unfortunately I lost the tangs to marine velvet.

Like I mentioned earlier I don't have this tank anymore. I had to sell it when I moved to Burlington. I actually traded some corals with a fellow reefer for my current 240 gallon.

I'll post some some video/pics of my 240g non-Biopellet/Zeo reef if you all are interested.

    Happy Reefing...

HI DAVE! I've been wondering how you are doing. I don't get on CFT much, I am working on my Master's and just don't have the time. I'd love to see pix/vids of your new tank.

Welcome Back! Can you get a little more in depth about the Bio Pellets and the turf scrubber? I don't really have the room for a turf scrubber (from what I understand about it), but I was thinking about running a biopellet reactor. I am in the process of Voltron'ing my 90 gallon display with a 37 gal Grav drain fuge, a 29 gal fuge/sump and an old wet dry With Out biopellets that holds another 20 gallons of water. I will be adding another skimmer when it's all ready to hook up ...finances are making this happen in stages.

    Thanks for the build!

I miss her posts. We've been pretty empty here for awhile. I understand though, I've been so busy I haven't even been online all week!

"I got a 125 then a 240"...I started with a 10, added some equipment to the 10, got more critters for the 10....2 1/2 years later I still got the damn 10. If you sence a little jealousy...YOUR RIGHT..lol. Good to see you back on the boards Dave. Pics/vids are always welcome. Post 'em up.

Hey Salty, I've been prompting you to upgrade for quite a while now! It's all about priorities! Look at it this way... 2 billion men have wives, less than 200,000 have reef tanks, and only one will have the reef that YOU build... which one is really the precious commodity?

I just keep telling myself...someday. We've spent the last couple years paying down the debt and bringing up the credit score. Trying to go from renting to owning. When that day comes...look out!
