This week we are joined again by our friend Travis Staut, many of you may remember travis from Episode 35, in which he joined us to talk about his site Reefpedia.com. Well Travis is a man of many talents, and websites.. and one of his other sites is reef-life.com, a site dedicated to aquarium photography and travis is here to tell us all about how to get good photos of your tank.

Very cool! I need all the help I can get
Another great podcast. Great Job Rob & Travis!!! Heading over to Travis' website now to check it out.
Going to travis's website....VERY nice site. I love photography, and I love aquariums...I've never spent much time combining them, though. I want to do a Photo journal with this new tankk I have...take a picture of each coral and fish as it is added, and kind of do a progress blog/journal with it. Tomorrow after my exam I'll be listening to the podcast as part of my "reward" for taking the test. Thanks for another podcast! and thanks for the bonus video too!

yeah I need some serious photo taking lessons
that was an awesome podcast. I have been into digital photography for about 4 years and really learned a lot during the podcast
Great Podcast .. very helpful and really good info.
John
Glad to hear some folks found the info helpful. There are lots of ways to get in touch with me if you have any questions, I think I dropped my email address in the podcast, and Rob has started some aquarium photography forums here as well. I'll be checking in to answer any questions occasionally over the next week or so.
Travis
Awesome topic for a podcast, can't wait to have a listen

Nice show guys....
One Question was Travis's website reeflife.com? If so I get a different site when I use that url.
Unfortunately, I had to hyphenate.
The correct url is http://www.reef-life.com
yes, its reef-life.com, and that is in the show notes for that episode if you need it again in the future..

Welcome to TR Travis and Blide
Really good information in the show, much appreciated! Love the podcast!
to the TR Community UMpg!!
Thanks for the greeting gwen_o_lyn! I've been listening and reading for a few months, just not saying anything on the forums...
Hey Rob! Love the show. I just found out about it and have gone back and listened to all of the episodes. Great stuff man!
I had a question about this episode. You mentioned in the Q&A section that you had a link to the skimmer mod where you cut up a bioball and attach it to the impeller of the skimmers powerhead to improve performance. I didn't see that in the show notes and if you don't have it, it's not a big deal. I was just curious how that worked and was wondering if it was my skimmer!
Thanks alot for the show, keep them comming! I look forward to getting into the forums and being a part of the community.
Thanks again!
Driftwood,
first of welcome to talkingreef, i do hope you enjoy the site as well as the podcast shows, thanks for stopping by.
I will look when i get home for that link, it basically involved cutting off enough of the posts so it would fit over the the impeller.
ill see what i can come up with

I came across a link to the bio-ball mod. I'll post it here for anyone else who might go looking for it.
