Hi Scott and to TR.
It is possible that your clowns are hiding, a 125 has a lot of real estate to hide in. Out of your fish I'd say your angel would be the most likely suspect if someone was killing them. What other critters do you have?
Hello,
I have had my current saltwater aquarium running since 2001, but i have continually had a saltwater aquarium since 1991. My question is I noticed in the last two days two of my clownfish have gone missing. The first one was a small orange false percula clownfish, but since it was so small and I have a 125 gallon tank, I figured it is just hiding because I just installed my new light fixture and it is considerably brighter in the tank now. Yesterday my black false percula clown went missing and has me worried; he has lived in the tank for almost a year with no problem and now he is gone. Below I have listed the fish I have in my tank, do you think any of them could have killed my clownfish?
Queen Angel, (about 5" long)
Blue Hippo Tank (about 5" long)
Longnose Butterfly
Engineering Goby
Cowry Snail
Abalone
orange false percula clownfish
scooter blenny
three turbo snails
and then the two missing fish.
Thanks for your help,
Scott

It is a dual overflow, 125 gallon aquarium with about 90lbs of live rock, and a live sand base.
I have a several small hermit crabs, and many turbo snails cleaning the outside.
I agree with IReef IKeeper It could of jumped out. Or dyed of shock or anythng else. I remember I had a clown fish for about a month until I found my shrimp taking the dead clown fish out of the rocks. I still wonder How he dyed he had no sighn's of ick or anything that I know of.

i would check in the overflows, and all around the tank. i recently had one of my mis barred ( i call them "half naked" because the run around with no top bars) clowns try to jump, but he landed in the overflow and was a PITA to get out.
