Looking for lunch dood... looking for lunch....
He's just hunting. Some do it more than others... hey my erectus is doing it right now at I look over for him. I have one Reidi who I barely ever see upright.
Ive notices my male erecus will sometimes be hitched to things hanging upside down. He eats normally (and loudly if i might add), no bad water parameters no airstone has been turned off lately, is this normal?

Some people believe that their works are nothing more than a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would have been less without that drop.

It's cute when you know what they are doing. They are going to scare the heck out of ya at least 50 more times.
Renee

LOL Christi.
I haven't been able to capture them completely upside down. They must know when I'm backing out of the room that I'm going for my camera and straighten up really fast. But here's one kind of doing it.
Renee
thanks. they are totally awesome!

BTW, i wanna point out that I don't have fake corals in the tank. That is his feeding dish that he is hitched to and it's magnetically attached through the glass. This way the BWs will stay out of their food (reduced risk of accidental BW ingestion which kills horses) and you can feed them without a mess.
Renee
i should add that the feeding station was a (yet another) creation by Renee. it's made from the halfshell from a T. squamosa clam ( i lost the clam in a tank crash). she added the hitching posts (the coral skeleton) and a super strong magnet that sits against the tank, with another magnet on the outside to hold it in place (think mag-float). the magnet inside the tank is covered in aquarium-safe epoxy.
Greg
I'm actually going to build one soon from 2 part casting resin and soem strong magnets to hold an abalone shell. This one is kind of cheezy but I would be happy to show ya.
Renee
K, after he moves off it.... I tried to shoo him... he's looking at me very displeased.
Renee
Ta-daaaa!
Renee
