Carbon filter pad or carbon bagged?

Wondering which would be better a carbon filter pad or carbon media bag. I am using wet/dry sump and am taking Robs advice and ditching the regular filter pad and replacing with one of these.

in this case the pad would be better because you can force more of the water through it, vs trying to force water through the bag.

with the pad you will have an active carbon filter, the bags (unless attached to the output directly) would be more of a passive filter

    any LFS should have both...
you can got to most online stores for either...

aquaticecosystems.com should have the tubes, and i think Aquabuys.com has the filter pads (Aquabuys is a Talkingreef Sponsor)

aquabuys is great I try to order everything through them, and if you have any questions just call them up. I have and they are very easy to work with.
