What kind of lighting do you have?
I have recently inherited a BTA from a friend who has given up with his tank due to moving away. However my aquarium is only one month old and im concerned i wont be able to provide the right conditions for him. Will he be ok if i ensure he is fed regularly? He has been in the tank for 2 days and hasnt moved an inch from where he decided he would put himself. He seems in good health. His foot is firm and his mouth isnt droopy or hanging. How often should i feed him and what is the best thing to feed him. At teh moment im feeding him table shrimp every other day.

its a good sign that it moved around the tank and found a place to call him. also its good it looks healthy. I feed my BTA's about 2 peaces of brine shimp each every other day. ( spot feeding) it will be happy if you spot feed it and have the right type of lighting.. also BTA are really picky about sudden temp change in the water, well mine was anyways. so watch that as well..
