Looking back what piece of equipment helped your setup the most?

I was thinking about some of my equipment and thought about how buying an RO/DI unit had really helped me. I started taking better care of my water and didn't have to run across town at the last minute to get 20 gallons of water.

Did you buy a great skimmer or PH monitor or something else that really brought your setup to the next level. Did you build a sump that brought your nitrates down or a DIY light kit that made your corals pop.

if this counts, i would say upgrading my tank from a 29 to a 120. i havn't got it set up all the way yet, but i know it will make a huge difference. in my old tnak i would have to say it was the skimmer. i ran my tank without one forever, and when i added it, you should have seen the sludge coming out.
