    Hitch hiking snail

I found this snail last night about half an hour after lights out. Im not sure what it is but after some searching I think it could be a Triton snail which would explain the "hairy" shell. It looks like a small Whelk shape and color wise but Whelks dont have a hairy shell. If you have any Ideas please help.

Last night I changed the water in the cup that the snail is in and I added a small piece of plankton and a small Astroidea star. All three have been in the cup for 24 Hrs.. Tonight I am going to add a Nass. snail and a GSP polyp. If all survive I think it should be safe to return it to my tank sence the only thing I am seeing any loss of is my GSP.

If I am wrong or if I should wait a few more days feel free to let me know.
    Thanks

It's shell is 3/4 of an inch from front to back and 1/4 of an inch top to foot. the snails foot is about 1/4 inch wide and 1 inch long. this it about two to three times the size of my largest Nassarius.

Well 23 hours later and the GSP, Nassarius and Astroidea star are still all in the cup with the hitch hiker alive and well. I removed the plankton as I didnt want the Nassarius to eat it.

Im going to have to find some Macro and see if it eats that. Or maybe a small feather duster.

Well I put a small pice of plexiglass in the main taink for a couple of days when it had a good amount of algae on it I put it in the cup with the unknown snail which began cleaning the algae off as soon as it hit the water. I think that it is some type of nasarius and I have returned it to the tank. Where I have not seen it sence
