Josh, does it appear to be hard? It kind of looks like lime build up to me.
Ok, I know this is more of a salt water aquarium forum, but I am hoping maybe somebody can tell em what this is.
It is a white mass forming behind one of my water heater, between the water heater and the clamp. It seems to be getting bigger. Any ideas?? Pictures are not the best. And doesn't seem to be affecting my fish in anyway.

Yes it does seem hard. But why only that one spot? Nowhere else in the tank
