29 gal tank with eshopps nano overflow box, what submersible return pump?

Hello all, i want to get a small submersible return pump, it has to be 3.5 to 3.75 inches wide to fit inside 75 sump, but i was wondering what GPH rating i should use. The nano overflow box lists the nano at 250gph yet the store website where i bought it lists the overflow box to be used on 10-50 gal tanks? Is this box too small to use say a 700 gph return pump with the head pressure down to 350 gph (10 times cycling) ?

You wont want to return more water than the overflow box can handle. You'll just overflow the tank. Welcome to the site by the way.

Max flow rate for that is 200. Whats the head height? You will probably have to pick up a powerhead as you're not gonna get the flow you're looking for with that box.

Yes, a powerhead is one of the fan style pumps. I like the Koralias. As far as your return pump goes, I think you are almost going to have to look for pumps that fit and then choose from them. Look at the wattage of the pumps. In my experience, the higher the watts, the more heat they produce and that can become a problem by overheating your tank.
