    Hi Carmie,

I'm enjoying mine, too. Every week or so he goes through the overflow into the sump and I have to retrieve him. Here's today's "shot of the day".

    Neat little critters.

Cool. I've kept trying to get a shot of mine with his mouth open & haven't succeeded.

Well, keep trying for the open mouth. I'm not sure how you got the poop shot in mid air, errr, water. They open their mouth much more than their butt end.

I am still working on the aquarium photography thing! I'm a pretty decent photographer, before I got hurt I used to make enough doing photography to pay for my hobby.

Anyhow I love to sit in front of my tank with my camera! I figure if I sit in front of the tank with my camera long enough I will eventually get the shot! Of course I throw away lots of images. That is one reason why I like my D50 so much. I don't worry about how many shots I take.

I'm the same way. My camera (D70) is always armed and ready to go. Thank God for digital!!! A good photographer always throws away a lot of shots. You get the good ones by being alert and doing a lot of clicking. Also, learning how to over ride some of your camera's standard settings. Even though I have a nice camera, I'm a point and shoot kind of photographer. Set it on auto and go to work. However, sometimes I want the flash to take out the Actinic blue of a reef tank. Had to learn a few tricks. I hate reading manuals.

    Dick,

I HATE reading directions so much the my husband once bought me a shirt that said "Everything I know I learned by not reading the directions." If I am building it I would just like a good exploded diagram. Otherwise I will just play with it until I figure it out!

    Walrus,

I guess I thought everyone here knew that a drunk driver wrecked into my car about 3 years ago. It nearly tore my right foot off. I missed almost a year of work. I was in a wheelchair for 6 months and still have to use crutches. I had another surgery a couple months ago that might let me walk without crutches after a bunch more PT. Walking is way under-rated by the way. I will be tickled pink if I can eventually walk around the block. But I used to make $$ with my camera photographing special occasions, sports teams, etc.

    Everyone,

    PLEASE DON'T DRINK & DRIVE!!!

Thanks Walrus. I figure I've got 2 choices, get on with my life or let this define me. I choose to just keep on going.

I'm bummed, when I got home tonight my sea hare had his head stuck in between a rock and a piece of coral and was dead. I don't know if he got trapped or if he just died.

Bummer Carmie. I suspect he died and drifted into the tight spot. Their bodies are so plyable it's hard for me to believe one could get stuck and die.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

I was in Orlando yesterday and a store I visited had just got two of them in.

    Dick,

That sounds feasible, I had to move the rock to get him loose.

PS How was Mickey & the gang?

Yuk can get ugly and very oderous.

Mickey and the gang? Went to see them during spring break with Sister-in-law and kids. Never again! To crowded, to huge, to commercialized, to expensive. That's not for me. If I had grandkids, maybe.

My family just came back from Disney actually. I couldn't go on the "family vacation" because I used up all my time off for the surgery I had in March.
