    Mantis shrimp

How do I catch a mantis shrimp? Do the traps work or
should I take out the rocks? If I take out the
rocks how long will the shrimp live
out of the water? What will happen to the rock when I put it back in the
tank? I thought it was dead, 3 cleaner shrimp later
    Any thoughts?

I have heard that the traps work. I don't know how long a mantis could survive in rock out of the tank but I think pretty long as many survive shipping. If your rock got dried out you'd lose most of your biological filtration.
