    Alk n calcium way off!!!

So I used the sea lab 27 block "72 great elements" a few monhs ago n let it delpete to nothing. Now my tanks alk is at 5 and my calcium is at 850. Im using reef crystals as my salt mix. I dont believe this would affect my calcium to a sky rocket level. I did water changes and calcium dropped from 1000 to 850. I also use seachem buffer for alk n ph. Is there something i can use to raise alk tO deplete calcium? I was gonna by reef builder for carbonate alk buffer but it states it will not deplete calcium which defeats the purpose.

So Ca and alk are inversely proportional which explains the imbalance. With the Ca that high I think that you could dump alk in all day long and it wouldn't make much difference. The only way I can think of lowering the Ca is by water changes. Since you want to lower the Ca I would just use IO or a non "reef" salt which has lower Ca than Reef Crystals.
