    Lights off for a week?

Just a thought, but I am considering allowing my tank to be dark for a week. I have removed the fish and only have my cleanup crew in it. I had gotten a pretty bad algae problem that I just about have kicked. I will be out of town and thought if I leave the lighst off maybe it will finish it off. Plus the wife won't need to worry about dealing with it?

As long as you don't have any corals in there I don't see a problem with leaving the lights out.

    +1 I agree.

There is no elevator to success in marine tanks. You have to take the stairs.
